AKHAND BHARAT - THE LOGICAL CONCLUSION

AFTERMATH OF PARTITION

Massive exodus of Hindus, Sikhs and other non-Muslims from Sindh and Punjab of newly formed state of Pakistan began after 15th August 1947. Muslims of these states butchered thousands of Hindus, raped and maimed thousands of women. Many children were killed by Muslim mobs. Many Hindu families were separated during this mayhem.

Over 560 princely states acceded to India by 15 August 1947. The exceptions were  Junagadh, Hyderabad and Jammu & Kashmir. However, these princely states also got integrated into India, thanks to the Herculian efforts of the then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Insurgency from Pak Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan's use of 'Asymmetric warfare', a euphemism for using Terrorism as an instrument of war against Bharat continues. Bharat has taken concrete steps since 2014, which has resulted in significant reduction in insurgency and terrorism in Kashmir.

TWO NATION THEORY FAILED IN 1971

In last 73 years, Pakistan fought four wars with Bharat, and lost all of them. 1971 war especially proved to be the death knell of 'Two Nation Theory',  which was touted as the reason for creation of Pakistan.

Even though Sheikh Mujibur Rehman's Awami League won thumping majority in that year's General elections of Pakistan, it was denied the right to form the Government. As a result East Pakistanis(as they were known then) launched the Bangladesh Liberation war, to seek freedom from (West) Pakistan. In 1971, Pakistani Army began to  commit the barbaric genocide on innocent Bengali population. It is estimated that members of the Pakistani  military and supporting Islamist militias killed between 300,000 and 3,000,000 civilians in Bangladesh. As a result of the conflict, a further eight to ten million people fled the country to seek refuge in India.

During the 1971 Bangladesh war for independence, members of the Pakistani military and supporting Islamist militia, called the Razakars, raped between 200,000 and 400,000 Bangladeshi women and girls in a systematic campaign of  brutal rape.

As a result of the war, East Pakistan disintegrated and became an independent country, Bangladesh, as the world's fourth most populous Muslim state on 16 December 1971. The myth of Islamic brotherhood and Muslims being one nation was shattered by this!

RETHINKING IN PAKISTAN ABOUT CREATION OF PAKISTAN

Events of last 75 years and Pakistan's today's socio-economic-political condition has forced Pakistanis to rethink about the creation of Pakistan and Partition of Bharat. The very basis of demand for a separate homeland for Muslims was their identity as Muslims, which is based on their faith. But ever since Pakistan has been created, various regional, linguistic identities have risen against each other and tensions among them have given rise to fissures in Pakistani society. Religion/faith has not been able to end these tensions.

Added to this, Pakistan's polity has been dominated by Military and Mullahs ever since its creation. This has resulted in misguided priorities, messy society and dilapidated polity and shattered economy. Many in Pakistan have realized that the whole issue of Pakistan's existence needs to be re-examined. Pakistan's former Ambassador to USA, Mr. Husain Haqqani has written a book by the title, 'Reimagining Pakistan - Transforming A Dysfunctional Nuclear State'. In this book, Mr Haqqani discusses various issues such as Islamic fundamentalism, Terrorism, Military dominance which Pakistan is facing. He points out Pakistan's over emphasis on Religious ideology, India-centrism, Military driven national policies as major hurdles in Pakistan's progress and hence urges Pakistanis to rethink/re-imagine Pakistan's direction.

In the book, he concludes thus: 'Pakistan's excessive focus on survival and resilience and its direction being set by men trained only to think of security-may have sowed the seeds of its myriad problems. Pakistan could continue to survive as it has done so far and defy further negative predictions. But if it does not grow economically sufficiently, integrate globally and remains mired in ideological debates and crises, how would its next seven decades be any different from the past seventy years?'

Defence Analyst Ayesha Siddiqa has exposed the fact that Pakistan's Military is not in a position to fight Bharatiya Military. Several such voices from within Pakistan are rising against Pakistan's 'establishment' meaning Military.

Not only this, Sindhis, Balochis, Mohajirs(those who migrated from the state of Bihar in Bharat to Pakistan during Partition) and Pashtuns feel alienated in Pakistan. Their separatist movements are getting stronger by the day and it is becoming difficult for Pakistani establishment to contain these rebellions.

In last few years, several international experts have been asking, if Pakistan will break up  (https://www.y/outube.com/watch?v=iqnnikx-NUY).  Dysfunctional national institutions, chaotic social life, falling economy are some of the reasons given by experts for the collapse of Pakistan. These may be the reasons for the failure of the state of Pakistan. But the national identity, which the architect of Pakistan like Mohammed Ali Jinnah based on common religion, has failed to overcome the sub-cultural, linguistic divisions among its citizens.

Bharat, on the other hand, has more than 8 thousand years of history, where not only people of various faiths, following different customs, speaking different languages have lived together as one cultural unit, but have assimilated foreigners belonging to different ethno-religious streams. And yet, while allowing every individual to hold his or her opinion, belief and way of life Bharat has emerged as a strong Nation.

It appears from above analysis that, Pakistanis who are basically the people belonging to Bharatiya strain, will have no other recourse but to revert to their Bharatiya roots and be a part of Akhand Bharat!
